NCARB

Formed in 1919, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards - NCARB - develops standards that apply to applicants for architectural registration in America.

NCARB members are the architectural registration boards of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the four U.S. territories of Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

To read more about current architectural registration requirements, see this recent Overview on Licensing of Architects created by NCARB together with data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics ( drawn from its 2004-2005 Occupational Outlook Handbook).
